Why archetypes

Most personality tests feel like business astrology.

They're genuinely fun to take, and that's most of what they deliver. You get a four letter code, everyone nods along, and a week later nobody remembers what the letters stood for.

The harder part is applying it to anyone else. Knowing your colleague's type doesn't tell you how to work with him on Monday, or what he needs from you when the project starts slipping.

Archetypes work differently because we already recognize them from stories. Saying "you're a Barbarian" lands faster than "you're a high-D with low-S tendencies," and it lands with a lot more warmth.

The point isn't the label. It's finally having language for how the people around you actually operate.

Bard

You might be a Bard if...

You've talked to everyone, read everything, and somehow it all becomes useful at exactly the right moment. Networking isn't a strategy for you, it's just how you move through the world.

Strengths

  • You make people feel genuinely seen in conversation, which is rarer and more powerful than most people realize.
  • You're a natural translator between departments, personalities, and the person with the idea and the room that needs to hear it.

Watch out

  • You can spread yourself thin trying to be everything to everyone, and the follow through sometimes suffers for it.
  • You have a tendency to smooth things over when a harder conversation would actually serve everyone better.

The Rogue
